Battery conditioning

1) When your new battery arrives be sure to make sure that it looks the same before placing into the machine, if the shape is wrong do not insert

2) Fully charge the battery on arrival without using the computer as using the computer only trickle charges the battery

3) Use the computer on the battery only when fully charged until it runs fully out . New batteries may require 4/5 discharge cycles before they reach optimum capacity. When first charging a battery that has not been used for a few months your charger may indicate that the battery has been fully charged after a few moments. Do not remove the battery from the charger as the recharging is not complete. The CHARGER WILL SLOWLY recharge the battery in about 10 hours.

4) Make sure the battery terminals are clean, this should be done with a dry cloth

5) Total discharge may occur if the battery is left in storage

6) Battery run-time depends on the power demands of the unit. DVD use for example will shorten battery life

7) DO NOT short circuit the battery terminals - Do not burn the battery

8) When disposing the battery please be aware of the environment

9) Batteries are consumable items and covered by a 3 month return to base warranty, damaged batteries of batteries that have not been properly conditioned and maintained are not covered by warranty. Batteries that are returned must be sent back with an R.A. (returns authorisation) number and properly packed.

10) Batteries that do not work will be replaced after testing, wrongly ordered batteries will be swapped but an additional delivery charge will be levied.
